This is an ideal staff meeting / twilight suitable for all members of staff involved in supporting children with their mathematics learning in the classroom to understand what dyscalculia is and how to recognise it. (60-90mins)
This training, primarily for teachers and leaders, offers an introduction to dyscalculia, what practitioners can look out for in the classroom, how all learners can access mathematical learning and how best to use manipulatives and visuals effectively. There is plenty of opportunity to explore hands-on resources and games.
(Ideal for half-day INSET)
This training is primarily for teaching assistants but also suitable for teachers (especially ECTs). It gives lots of practical examples with an exploration of hands-on resources to support fluency and arithmetic effectively, whether it is 1:1, with small groups or within the classroom.
